Yesterday, we took Raquel to see Elmo's Green Thumb...Live! I was so excited for her. She loves Elmo and could watch his movies all day into the night if we let her. I told her all week that we were going to see Elmo. I don't know if she knew what I was talking about because we see Elmo everyday on TV. When we got to the theater and got settled she was very calm. She just kind of looking around a little curious I think about all the kids that were there. Then...she heard Big Bird over the sound system and she almost jumped to attention. She looked around and waited and then one by one all the characters came out onto the stage. Finally, last but not least the one all the kids had come out to see...ELMO! In the flesh! Ooooops, I mean fur!

After the introduction, it was impossible to keep Raquel in her seat. Luckily, we were sitting at the end of the aisle. Raquel kicked her legs, waved her arms, spun around and bobbe up and down with the characters on stage! When she wasn't dancing she was trying to run down the aisle to get to the stage. She kept us busy, but you could tell she was having a great time. I wish I could've gotten some pictures of her getting her boogie on but it was too dark.

As it turns out Raquel's new sitter also does hair very well. This is fortunate for all of us because 1. Raquel has a fit when I touch her hair 2. I have no idea what to do with hair. Ericka did her hair last night and Raquel did not cry and fuss the way she does with me. Clearly, Raquel sat still for some time.
